Fall Softball Clinic is designed for beginner softball players, ages 7 & 8, to teach them the fundamentals of softball. Among teammates of their own age, players will learn the basic skills of the game including throwing, catching, & hitting.

Eligibility: Children ages 7 & 8. Participants must be at least 7 years old and not turning 9 on or before program start date.

Schedule: Clinic will be offered on Thursdays from August through October. Weather and activity updates will be available on our Recreation Sports website at: Team Sideline. In addition, you can call the weather hotline at 203-861-6100.

Fees:Resident: $167, Non-Resident: $187.
There are no refunds and we do not pro-rate fees.
Requests for credit will only be considered if received in writing, prior to the start of the program.
There is a $20 administrative fee for credits and a $25 fee for any returned checks.

Participant Information:
• Players supply their own fielding glove, bat, and pants.
• Catcher’s equipment, softballs and helmets are provided.
• All players will receive a warm-up shirt.
• All participants should bring a filled water bottle labeled with their name.

Parks and Recreation has established a youth scholarship program which provides financial assistance to qualifying residents.

General Activity Waitlist Policy
Once maximum enrollment has been reached for activity registration, a participant may elect to be placed on a waitlist. Should additional registration spots become available, those on the waitlist will be contacted in numerical order. Once contacted, if the person is still interested in enrollment in the activity, they will have two business days to make payment for the activity fee. If complete payment is not made within two business days, that person will be removed from the waitlist and the next person on the waitlist will be contacted. If the waitlisted person is no longer interested in registering for the activity, then the next person on the waitlist will immediately be contacted. Additionally, if the waitlisted person declines to respond to the Department of Parks and Recreation within two business days, the next person on the waitlist will be contacted.
