Greenwich Point Park – Clambake Picnic Area

Greenwich Point Park is a 147.3-acre Town-owned beach and recreation facility in Old Greenwich, CT. Also known by locals as "Tod's Point," it was the former estate of J. Kennedy Tod and many historic buildings still exist in the park. Among them are the Innis Arden Cottage, Seaside Garden and Cowbarn Building, and the Chimes Building. Concessions, restrooms, picnic areas, and walking trails are also found at Greenwich Point. Home to Old Greenwich Yacht Club, there is also a boatyard and a launch for boats and kayaks.

Picnic Area
A Greenwich resident may reserve one picnic area between May through October.
Picnic hours: 8 a.m. to a half hour before sunset. (Park opens at 6 a.m.)
Private Events Only. Any event open to the public or selling tickets to the event, must apply for a Special Event Permit. Contact: [email protected]

Fees:
$350 Area Reservation fee plus per person entry and parking (Seasonal Passes or Single Entry Tickets required, and must be purchased in advance).

Capacity: 25 - 275

Permit Holder must be a Greenwich Resident, 21 or older to make a reservation and be in attendance at the event.

The Permit Holder takes responsibility to ensure all litter, waste food, and recyclables have been collected and placed in appropriate containers.

Please have a copy of the permit/receipt with you. Town officials may ask to see the permit.

No bonfires, personal grills, amplified music, inflatable structures or fireworks.

Picnic Reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance.

Resident households may request one picnic and one camping reservation per year.
